Ajasto to be taken over by Schneider Group

Ajasto Corporation, the leading diary publisher in the Nordic countries, has today signed a letter of intent regarding a business transfer with the Schneider Group, a leading European producer of diaries, calendars and stationary based in Germany.

“The diary business is consolidating and we see this as a natural step in the development of the industry” says Ajasto’s Chairman Antti Henriksson. “Ajasto itself is a product of earlier consolidation on a Nordic and Baltic level and now Ajasto is strengthened by being part of a European Group. “

The family-owned Schneider Group is one of the top three diary producers in Europe, generating a turnover of more than 120 million Euros. The Schneider Group is well-known for Brunnen, Stewo and Heyda brands. The Group employs 950 people in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands.

The business transfer is planned to be finalized by the end of March.
